Hi devs,

Here the milestone:
https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/milestone/14?closed=1

it lists the following fix:
--> Make: add -rpath to LD_SEARCH_FLAGS #2280

which is relevant for the GDAL-GRASS driver, to avoid /etc/ldconfig.d/ tricks.
BTW, this driver has been moved to a separate repo, for easier
maintenance and less burden to GDAL devs:
https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal-grass/

Hence I would suggest that I create 7.8.8RC1.
