[graylog2] Graylog v0.20.0 RC.1 Important Error !!!

2014-01-14 Thread datluc
Dear Graylog-Team,

recently I installed Graylog v0.20.0-rc.1.

Everytime I am trying to search for something or opening a stream I get an
error page. I did the following:

1) searched something
2) opened a stream
3) clicked on a source and opened it

I added a screenshot of the error.

Kind Regards
Lucy

[graylog2] Graylog v0.20.0 RC.1 : unable to login

2014-01-14 Thread Jean-Luc Bassereau
Hello,

First of all thanks a lot for releasing this RC1 version.
I've upgraded my test server with it from lastest preview (8) I had running
on it but I have an issue :
I am not able to login with the 'admin' user. I got this error message on
the WebUI : Sorry, those credentials are invalid.

I kept all the previous config file, including /etc/graylog2.conf with the
previous root_password_sha2 setting.

I cannot see anything in logfiles, any idea on what's happening ?

Where does elasticsearch get the IP adress
[[Sauron][jko_l23FRI6BW7eEU2ULHg][inet[/*10.7.1.129*:9300]]] ?

The IP Adress of my Graylog System is 10.7.1.60.

If you are using ES with multicast then this could be any ES node with
the same cluster.name that is discoverable via multicast.

[graylog2] Re: Graylog v0.20.0 RC.1 : LDAP

2014-01-14 Thread Kay Röpke
It should, at least our test servers worked.
Can you log in with the admin account and take a look at the users system
page, please, to see if it could create the shadow user account in mongodb?
The accounts should have a cloud sign next to them.

Otherwise, could you start the server with --debug and try to log in again
with the ldap account?

thanks!

 Hello,

Should LDAP connector be working on this release ?
Here's my settings, under /system/ldap, I've set binding to my ldap
 server.
The test server connection seems to work well :

Besides, then credential tests works well with my own account :

Whereas, when I try to log in with my LDAP account, it fails with this :

Ok, then it probably picked up a wrong config somehow.

Can you please go to System - Indices, maintenance - rebuild index ranges

it sounds like the metadata is out of sync, this could happen in earlier
versions.

Best,
Kay

 Hi,

after fresh installation I was able to start elasticsearch and graylog
without problems. I am able to login and search something. Now there is
another mistake. I get an error page by clicking sources. I added the
 error-content in appendix.

 Kind regards

[graylog2] Upgrade path

2014-01-14 Thread Miguel Cruz
From what I've read so far, it seems there is no upgrade path from the
preview version to this rc1?
I mainly care about the user accounts I've created.

Yes, no?
