[graylog2] Input source override

2015-01-31 Thread Rob Erix
Hi.

I would like to log syslog messages from my firewall. Messages are received
just fine.
Apparently because the first field in the message is date=x, Graylog
defines the source as date=x.
I set the option to override_source: Firewallname for my input in order to
get a consistant name but it does not do anything.

Did I got the idea wrong here?

Thank you in advance for help.

BR. Rob.

What type of input? Syslog? Raw? UDP/TCP?
Which Graylog version?

Thanks!

Re: [graylog2] Input source override

2015-01-31 Thread Kay Röpke
Ok, code is different with 1.0, so if it is working there it should be OK.

0.92 won't see any more updates, unless there are serious security problems.

Thanks,
Kay

 Hi.

 Syslog UPD input.

 Graylog version was 0.92.4

I just tested with 1.0.0 rc1 and it is working.

 Thanks for swift reply.

 Rob
