Re: Page Break problem

2009-07-16 Thread Erlend Leganger

Whenever I print reports, where it is going to spread over to a second
page I get a page break immediately after the title (actually, after
the date - I have added today at the beginning of most of them.)

Ideally I'd like to be able to specify where to break but,a t the very
least I'd expect it to break only near the end of a page.

Do others have the same probem? Any solutions?

I tried the following: Updated the Next Actions by Context tiddler to the
following:

Here is some intro text
This is the date today: today

mgtdList title:'Next Actions by Context' startTag:Action tags:'Next
!Done' view:ActionProj mode:global
group:Context
newButtonTags:'Action Next'
where:tiddler.hasActiveProject()

In print preview, I verified that this produced two pages. The actual
printout was identical with the preview, with the page break where you
expected it, ie when the first page has been filled with text. I'm not sure
if this procedure is what you aim at, but in my case, it seems to work just
fine.

In David Allens GTD He mentions that projects have 5 states they can
   be in:
   Define Purpose/Principals
   Outcome Visioning
   Brainstorm
   Organize Thoughts
   Identify Next Actions

This is a sliding state for each project. If you have defined the
purpose of the project the next step is to lay out the vision, then
brainstorm, and so on.  It would be cool if projects were able to be
tagged with these 5 states. Furthermore a project view that breaks
down projects into these various states would allow quick easy
assessment of where a project is currently and the areas that need to
be worked on for the completion of the project.
