Also, the left side list doesn't display properly, items sometimes disappear, or the text appears bolder, and the meta key doesn't work, so I cannot quit the demo application (the keyboard does work though) by pressing Meta + C. Any thoughts? I attempted to build gtk+ 2.13 but I just ended up with too many compilation errors. Thanks! returning a string to d-bus
Hello. I have a D-BUS listener with a GObject method which should send a string back to D-BUS. My d-bus listener method is: gboolean some_object_get_name(GObject *object, gchar *str, GError **error) { str = g_strdup(Hello); return TRUE; } But when the client connect to this d-bus interface and calls the get_name() method, the method doesn't return the string. I'm guessing I'm passing the string the wrong way. Please help. Greets, Luka ___ gtk-app-devel-list mailing list gtk-app-devel-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-app-devel-list
GLib 2.17.6 released
GLib 2.17.6 is now available for download at: http://download.gnome.org/sources/glib/2.17/ glib-2.17.6.tar.bz2 md5sum: b596b80ec89bbcc7ddb77fbf0e4db056 glib-2.17.6.tar.gz md5sum: bbdcc3370d40e875bc0841474d9246af This is the sixth development release leading up to GLib 2.18. Notes: * This is unstable development release. While it has had a bit of testing, there are certainly plenty of bugs remaining to be found. This release should not be used in production. * Installing this version will overwrite your existing copy of GLib 2.16. If you have problems, you'll need to reinstall GLib 2.16. * GLib 2.18 will be source and binary compatible with the GLib 2.16 series. The new API additions in GLib 2.17 are finalized at this point. Except for unforeseen last-minute problems, there should be no more API changes between this release and the final 2.18 release. * Bugs should be reported to http://bugzilla.gnome.org. About GLib == GLib is the low-level core library that forms the basis for projects such as GTK+ and GNOME. It provides data structure handling for C, portability wrappers, and interfaces for such runtime functionality as an event loop, threads, dynamic loading, and an object system. Can't install gtkmm (package manager won't install libgtkmm-2.4-dev)
Hi All, Help! I'm trying to install a build environment on a machine I just installed Ubuntu 8.04.1 on and the package manager won't install libgtkmm-2.4-dev. It gives the following message: libgtkmm-2.4-dev: Depends: libatk1.0-dev but it is not going to be installed Depends: libcairomm-1.0-dev but it is not going to be installed Depends: libglibmm-2.4-dev but it is not going to be installed Depends: libgtk2.0-dev but it is not going to be installed If I try to install some of the dependencies, I get this message: libglib2.0-dev: Depends: libglib2.0-0 (=2.16.3-1ubuntu2) but 2.16.4-0ubuntu2 is to be installed This used to work -- I installed this build environment on a machine just a couple of months ago and know I'm, not doing anything different. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks tons in advance -- this is seriously killing my productivity! -Garth ___ gtk-app-devel-list mailing list gtk-app-devel-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-app-devel-list
