GStreamer 0.10 available

2008-03-16 Thread Torsten Schoenfeld
Overview of changes in GStreamer 0.10
=

* Alter GStreamer::Structure::from_string to return only one value.
* Add support for latency, async-start, and async-done messages.
* Add GStreamer::Message::timestamp() and src().
* Fix test failures.

GStreamer makes everybody dance like crazy. It provides the means to
play, stream, and convert nearly any type of media -- be it audio or
video. GStreamer wraps the 0.10.x series of the GStreamer library in a
nice and Perlish way, freeing the programmer from any memory management
and object casting hassles.

The package is available from:

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gtk2-perl/GStreamer-0.10.tar.gz

Announce: X11::Aosd 0.02

2008-03-16 Thread Jörn Reder

Hi,

I just uploaded the first public release of X11::Aosd to CPAN. As well
you find online documentation and the latest release always here:

  http://www.exit1.org/X11-Aosd/

This release fully binds the Cairo related stuff of libaosd and should
be quite usable but considered beta. Any feedback welcome.

Thanks again to Thorsten, who supported me finishing this release so
quickly.

Regards,

Jörn

 Any chance of a couple of screenshots to demonstrate what it does?

I just added one to the website:

In short: libaosd (and thus X11::Aosd) makes programming an on screen
display (OSD) as simple as drawing with Cairo. And with composite
support we get all the eye candy we like ;)

For more details about libaosd refer to:

With the next release I will bundle a few examples which show X11::Aosd
in action.

Jörn
