[Gvsig_english] Generalization

2012-03-22 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi everybody,
I need to generalize polygons in gvSIG 1.11 (on Windows XP). In Sextante
there is simplify polygons function, but it's not exactly what I'm looking
for. I need to make simple shapes (rectangles) from polygons, but I didn't
find this function in gvSIG. Can anybody help me, how to do it there? (I
also tried Geometries to points and then Minimum enclosing shapes, but this
function doesn't work).

Exists alsoo simplify for points? (to erase points whish are closer than
some distance)

Other question is, if gvSIG has orthogonize function (when generalize, then
make shape with all angles in corners 90° - rectangle)

Thanks,
Lucie

[Gvsig_english] export DEM to GRID

Hi,
I'm looking for the function for export DEM to grid in gvSIG. I couldn't
find it even in Sextante extension. Does it exist?

Thanks,

[Gvsig_english] Metadata

2012-03-17 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi everybody,
I found metadata extension for gvSIG 1.1.X, does this extension work also
for gvSIG 1.11? Or is there some other way to store and edit metadata in
gvSIG 1.11?

Thanks,

Re: [Gvsig_english] Graphs and quotation

2012-03-16 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Quotation is more CAD function, but for example if I want to know length of
line segments and have the length like annotation by the line segment (i
know that is possible to create lines segment by segment and then add
geometric info, but this solution is quite bad). Or I want to add point
every 20meters to the line - so I want to see, where is every 20. meter. Is
it now more clear what kind of function I'm looking for?

Thanks for the first answer, hope it will be developed soon:)

[Gvsig_english] Graphs and quotation

2012-03-16 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi everybody,
I have two specific questions about functionalities in gvSIG.

1. is there any possibility how to create graphs (not only histograms) -
not by symbology only like symbol, but like the whole graph which could be
then exported like figure or like graph to the xls or other file? Or is
there the possibility of exporting pie or bar legends like graphs?

2. is there any function or extension for making quotes? for example
quotation of lines or segments of polygon.

I would be happy for all sugestions,
thanks,
Lucie

[Gvsig_english] Cartography in map

2012-03-16 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi everybody,
I want to ask if there is any function or extension for ungrouping map
cartography and editing map afterwards. I mean, if it's possible to unlink
map layout from the view (that is, I know) and then moving for example
symbols in the map or roads to make map more readable (no overlaps of
symbols etc.).

[Gvsig_english] Reprojecting vector from ESRI 102067

2011-12-31 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi,

I have problem with reprojecting vector layers from ESRI 102067 to EPSG
23033 and back and also EPSG 2065 to EPSG 23033 and back. Below is
description of my concrete problem.

I have some shp files in projection Krovak, which is quite strange
projection with nonmathematical axis (positive Y-axis leads west and
positive X-axis leads south), in ESRI dataset it has code 102067 and in
this definition it's dealed like mathematical system with negative
coordinates and switched axis.
I want to reproject layer from ESRI 102067 to EPSG 23033 (UTM33). When I
tried to do it, the reprojection doesn't work at all and the coordinates
are totally wrong (for example point with original coordinates -739551.22,
-1033348.83 should be in UTM33 460586.2, 5558515.7, but in gvSIG
coordinates in UTM are 1555602.3, 7823993.75).
I also tried to reproject it back to the original projection ESRI 102067,
but the result layer wasn't the same as the original one. ESRI 102067
projection uses negative values for coordinates and when I tried to
reproject it to EPSG 23033 and back, the values were wrong and Y coordinate
had positive value (-672623.34, 1077849.35).
I compared definitions of both of the projections with definitions from
spatialreference.org, exactly [1],
[2 ], and it looks the same
as definition in gvSIG.

I tried to assign another projection to my data which has EPSG code, in the
case that there is problem with ESRI codes (EPSG code 2065 - is very
similar to ESRI 102067, but the primery meridian is other), then
reprojected to EPSG 23033 (strange is, that the result coordinates are the
same like when the original layer was in other projection, which shouldn't
be I thing, when the definitions are different). So the result coordinates
are also wrong. When reprojecting back from 23033 to 2065, there is the
same problem like in previous example (wrong coordinates, Y axis positive).

I tried also make another layer with only positive values of coordinates
and reproject it from EPSG 2065 to EPSG 23033 and it worked good, the
coordinates after rereprojecting were the same like before. Then I tried
make another layer with only negative values and the problem was there
again. So it looks like there is some problem with negative signs and some
other which I don't know.

Does somebody knows, when could be the problem? I would appriciate every
hints.

Thanks,
Lucie

[Gvsig_english] Reproject raster

2011-12-26 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi users,
I have problems with reprojecting raster with projection which is defined
with ESRI code. When I tried to reproject it to some other projection with
EPSG code. I read, that is possible to reproject only projections from EPSG
to EPSG. What can I do when gvSIG doesn't know the EPSG code which I am
looking for? Concretely I use ESRI code 102067, which is equal to EPSG code
5514, but I can't find this code in gvSIG.

The questions are:
May I reproject layers with projection with using ESRI code or also user
defined projections? or is it possible only with projections with EPSG
codes which are defined there?
Is it possible to add more EPSG codes to gvSIG? (Does it use proj4
library?) And will be then possible to reproject layers in these?

Thanks,
Lucie

Re: [Gvsig_english] Projection ESRI:102067

2011-12-22 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi,
yes, it happened two times as I wrote in the email, ones when installed
OpenCadTools, another time when I tried to open project made in older
version (1.10). So I don't think that is the error caused by extension, but
that it could be because of the projection I use.

And when I remove the folder from extensiones, may I then use projections,
georeferencing raster and use other tools about projections?

Hi,
yes, it was totally the same project - I just did it again, but with the

But I still would like to know, what could be the problem to avoid it next

[Gvsig_english] Automatic polygon

2011-12-16 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi,
can I ask you if there is some possibility to make automatic polygon which
is snapped to the feature in other layer? Now I can snap it to the feature
in the same layer, I tried to enable snapping to other layer in Edit
properties, but it is not the solution. How can I do it?

Thanks,

Re: [Gvsig_english] Error - Geoprocessing tools

2011-12-16 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi,
unfortunatelly I don't have grass and I don't know which tools it has to
control the topology. Is there something in gvSIG what I can use for the
control? Or sextante? Or can you please check the data for me? It's weard
that the tools work sometimes and sometimes not. If the data would be bad,
I thing that the error should be there everytime.

[Gvsig_english] Error when launching project without some layers

2011-12-15 Thread Lucie Prunarová
Hi,
I have unexpected error when launching existing project after changing
folder with layers. When I launche it, I have to change all the paths, but
when I don't have the layer in the computer anymore or I don't want to
import it and don't change the path, but only push cancel, the unexpected
error appears. Sometimes at the moment, sometimes after open the project. I
attach log file with the error. I use gvSIG 1.11, Windows 7, 32bit. The
project was made in the same.

Do somebody know where could be the problem?

Thanks,
Lucie
