That might be a good way to "share" what you find out. I love those dresses
especially that gold one. Good luck on your search.

Suzi - why not check your local library? That was a popular enough movie,
I

would think they may have it - and it costs nothing! (or perhaps a very
small fee, depending on your library)

I have bought the movie, so will have the "real thing" to use.

Becky

Thanks for the fashion plate - it's lovely. However, I have discovered who
made some of the dresses for that film, and they are colleagues of mine,
or rather, I was at college with them. This means that once I have a
decent shot of the dress, I will know which pattern they used, in all
probability, so will be fine.

Yes, it was a bustle gown. I copied the blue dress, from a
borrowed DVD, but cannot get it again from the owner. You
have to "Join" the shop here to rent videos and DVDs, and I
feel it is a nuisance for just one movie!

Thanks anyway

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/antiquecorset/Interview%20with%20the%20Vampire/INTERVIEW_WITH_VAMPIRE-526.jpg

I'm thinking you might have to buy the movie; I made the blue gown in 2004 and
the movie was invaluable for the detailing.

Heh, I've answered this question quite a few times to people trying
to talk me in off the ledge for a detail on a costume not going the
exact way I would want it to and my answer to them is 'I will know!' ;)

I will copy it as nearly perfectly as possible because that is what
the customer is paying for. It is her wedding dress, and she will
want it to be perfect. It is my job to do the research and get it
right. *I* will know if it is a good reproduction, and it will matter
to me. Traci, that's you and me both!

Well, if people on this list barely remember that she wore a gold dress
and it is difficult to find pictures of it, I wouldn't worry about copying
it exactly. Who will know if it is a good reproduction or not?

Thank you that's two more than I found. I gave in and bought the DVD
- it was really cheap so I crumbled. Yes, I borrowed the customer's
DVD for the blue dress - would never have managed without!!

I worked on "Interview" and I don't remember this dress. I thought everything
Claudia wore was blue or green...except the pink dress she "kills" Lestat in.
Must be a bustle gown...while they're in Paris [the unions [not a member]
