Then you should try Cannas. They are very forgiving. I have some in the backyard that even my mother didn't kill! (She isn't a gardener)They come back after freezing and thrive on neglect. Just water them. Allison, My mother taught to just add them to the soil's surface. We always added it after the coffee grounds had cooled. I have had some house plants for over 20 years. I have a very green thumb.
