Re: [Hampshire] [Surrey] Customer service experience: Skoda website

2012-07-27 Thread Tony Wood

Firefox 14.0.1 with all latest updates via Ubuntu, Nick.

The website in question is from Maritz Research. I've just written to them:

   Dear Maritz

Skoda asked me to complete one of your questionnaires about the
servicing of my car a few days ago.

I filled in the on-line form of many pages and pressed 'EXIT' ...
nothing happened: I had to exit my browser.

I went on-line to 'skoda.co.uk' and found their Customer Service
page. Same outcome when I submitted the form I completed. I got an
error message (screenshot attached) so again had wasted my time.

For a market research company, 'annoyed' is not your ideal customer
   outcome.

Yes, agreed about busted websites and (as a former webmaster) I've also
got errors fixed.

We'll see if they fix this one! Bet they don't, though!

After my Octavia was routinely serviced, Skoda wrote to me asking if I was a
happy bunny. They asked that I complete an on-line questionnaire about my
'recent experience with Garland Motors'.

I spent 15 minutes filling in the pages and then clicked 'EXIT' - which
seems to be the point at which replies are submitted. Anyway nothing
happened; the button 'clicked' but it all just sat there.

It won't accept entries from Linux OS !!

Out of interest which browser were you using?

FWIW I've had a winge at companies with broken websites via Twitter
and they actually fixed it.

2012-07-27 Thread Tony Whitmore
Could you please refrain from posting replies to e-mails from another
list to this list? Additionally, the HTML formatting of the e-mails
below makes them barely comprehensible.

Thanks,

Tony

(Top posted to save me from investigating the mess below too much.)
