And many Freecycle people are as kooky as the folks running it. :(

Have you tried Chavcycle? Simply attach a note saying "£10 o.n.o"
and leave it at the end of your driveway, chances are that overnight
some of the local youth will decide to take it elsewhere (presumably
for a pre-sale demo) and forget to ever ask you about the price.

I've used this technique before and it does work, but then I do live
in Feltham so I suppose I am in a growth area for this sector of the
market.

Cheers,
Andy

Sucks when you find out someone is a woman after several months of

Yep. I think quite a lot of kit will no longer be Jamies-bound. Which is a
shame.

There's always Freecycle - although most of the kit on there is simply
unusably old.

Perhaps we should have a "kit up for grabs" page on the Wiki?

Perhaps, but I would doubt I'm the only one who, when faced with options
a) transport kit to a location and then pay to have it reused or b)
chuck it in the bin as household waste as part of my council tax, will
lean heavily towards the lower cost option.

I have an assortment of mice - some serial - keyboards, old networking
kit and the likes that is now surplus to requirements. I'd be delighted
to see it reused rather than binned, but giving it away and transporting
it already count as 2 charitable acts in my book.

You may all now sing the Fagin song, should you wish.
(No, not Michael Fagan, thank you!)
