[HCDX] Some MW catches
Hi I am finding out the antenna I am using apparently has some interesting characteristics. 0840 GMT 1200 KHZ WOAI San Antonio Texas with news talk. 0810 GMT 1180 KHZ WHAM Rochester NY with weather and id's. Also heard under WHAM was a possible copy of the Cuban Radio Rebelde station with Spanish music by male singer ,but no ID was heard . I'm finding out it has good pick up southwest to northeast and off the sides going southeast and northwest.The long wire is apparently run NE to SW ,being fed off the SW end . I heard also R. National 6/25/03; 0213 + UTC; 6180 Khz. SINPO 2; Music, ID of "Radio Nacional" between selections about 0225 (I don't have my log in front of me right now.) Also had interference from another station, which was not IDable. I was doing something else and tuned in for the music, then heard the ID. Mark Taylor Madison, Wi. USA DX ing with ICOM R-75, Grundig Satellite 800, Eavesdropper and EWE antennas.
