[DX] Radiokäyttöön sopivia äänikortteja ?
Näpräsin viime viikolla radiooni (Lowe HF-225) DRM-ilmaisinta ja taistelin sitten eilisen päivän saadakseni sen toimimaan... turhaan. Ongelmahan oli, etten oikein tiennyt, miltä Dream-softan erilaisisten analyysinäyttöjen oikein pitäisi näyttää eli mikä osa virityksistä mahdollisesti meni pieleen. No... tuumailu ja kokeilu otti aikansa ja stressitaso alkoi jo iltasella olla korkealla. Tulin lopulta siihen tulokseen, että radion systeemi saattaa hyvinkin toimia, mutta käytössäni oleva Ibari (eli Lenovo X301 -läppäri) ei tule ikinä toimimaan ilman ulkoista äänikorttia. Näyttää siltä, että läppärin mikrofoniotossa on kiinteä 8-9 kHz alipäästösuodin, jonka jälkeen kuunneltavasta DRM-välitaajuudesta 12kHz ei ole käytännössä jälkeäkään ja on turha toivo, että Dream pystyisi dekoodaamaan audiota. Kun radion virittää sopivasti sivuun, Dreamin näytölle saattaa tulla ihan oikeata tietoa lähetteen bittinopeudesta ja kielestä, mutta audioksi asti ei systeemi veny. Läppäreissä on varmasti paljon eroja. Kuuntelin X301:n edeltäjällä IBM X31:llä viime kesänä Grimetonin museoradioasemaa ja sen 17.2 kHz ei silloin tuottanut mitään ongelmia. Harmi, että PC-tuki vei tuon vanhan PC:n pois samalla kun sain joku aika sitten tuon uuden. Siispä: Onko kellään kokemuksia ulkoisen (USB) äänikortin käytöstä radiohommissa? Mikä olisi hyvä ja halpa malli, missä ei taatusti olisi toimintaa tuhoavia alipäästösuodattimia, AGC:tä jne.? Olen katsellut netistä esim. verkkokauppa.com:in ja bulldog.fi:n myymiä malleja ja ei sitten missään kerrota taajuuskaistoja. Ei noita oikein viitsi periaatteella osta-kokeile testatakaan. Entäpä kokemuksia Lowen DRM-käytöstä? Kannattaisiko oikein investoida softaan eikä tyytyä Dream'iin? (muuten, verkostahan läytyy oikein ohjekin Lowen DRM-kytkennästä. Eiköhän useimmat musiikintekoon ajatellut usb-kortit toimi ok. Itellä on viimeksi ollut käytössä semmoinen Edirolin purkki ja ei ole valittamista. Tietysti voi olla, että kaikkein halvimmissa on ongelmia. It still has plenty of CCI from Vatican until 0619. In A-10 shortly, Vatican finishes with 6185 at 0500, so that will help. Hey All, Its too bad to hear about radio sweden shutting down its shortwave service. I understand that it costs a LOT to run. But I think that they are making a big mistake in meny ways. Another of the hf stalwrts gone! I heard them here in RS sometimes.(even got a nice email once from them!) Sounds like the shortwave service as a whole is dying with several big names alrady of the air or soon to be.
