Ongelma on myös tuossa stereo- ja RDS-signaalin muodostamisessa, jossa tarvitaan 19 kHz apukantoaaltoa, jolla myös muodostetaan 57 kHz:n apukantoaalto (3 x 19 kHz) . Hyvä n. 57 kHz:n RDS-signaali ei siis pelkästään riitä olisi ehkä ollut herkkyyden kannalta parempi, jos apukantoaallot olisi saatu suoraan jostain sisäisestä, vakaasta oskillaattorista RDS-signaalien ilmaisun herkkyys vaihtelee laitteilla melkoisesti, STUDIO1 on melko herkkä tässä, mutta ei sekään kovin kohinaista signaalia lue. Yleensä meteoriheijastuma on niin lyhyt, että RDS-ilmaisin ei kerkiä saada signaalia synkroniin. Koko RDS-pätkä pitäisi pystyä lukemaan tarkistuslukuine yms. päivineen. FM List´iä käytettäessä web-streamia voi verrata (vasemmassa alalaidassa) esim. kuultuun musiikkipätkään. Aito tunnistus , esim. RDS vaatii melko vahvan ja pitkän burstin joku 120 kHz kaista on tässä se sopivin, RDS ei tule läpi kapeammilla kaistoilla (koska pitää pystyä kuulemaan tuo 57 kHz signaali). 73 de SDXL1398/OH5MD, Ilkka M. Yrittelin myös noita VOR-majakoitavielä huonommalla menestyksellä. Muutaman kantoaallon sieltä kaivoin pitemmissä purskeissa, mutta ei ID:tä No tästä ei voi mennä kuin ylöspäin... Asia ei kuitenkaan ole näin yksinkertainen, maksimi on todellisuudessa eri aikaan maapallon eri seuduilla ja heijastuksien voimakkuudet riippuvat monesta tekijästä. Ja voihan olla, että terävää maksimia ei lainkaan ole. Jostain syystä parhaat heijastumat sain suuntaamalla antennin meteorisateen suuntaan, en Virgon (http://dl1dbc.net/Meteorscatter/) näyttämään parhaaseen suuntaan (90 astetta meteorien suunnasta). Musiikkipätkään vertaaminen välttämättä ei ole tae. Jotain akuuttia hittiä kun saattaa soittaa useakin asema samanaikaisesti. Päättyvältä kesältäkin mieleeni tulee pari biisiä, jotka soivat jatkuvasti asemalla kuin asemalla, idästä länteen. Parhaiten livestream-vertailu mielestäni onnistuu uutis- ja ajankohtaisohjelmista, toki klassisesta musiikistakin. Meteotöhäyksen radioääntä kun tallenteeltaan livestreamiin vertaa, niin vielä pari, kolme minuuttia myöhemminkin äänessä saattaa olla sama henkilö. Mutta vänkää minusta on, että FM-kuuntelu on mennyt FM-katseluksi: katsellaan PI:tä. Heh... Kun vielä 20 vuotta sitten FM:ää aktiivisestikin harrastin, piti kuulla aseman idi tai jokin muu selkeä viite aseman (ohjelmakanavan) identiteettiin. Now it dawns on me that VOT has abolished their longtime repetitive keyboard IS and replaced it with this orchestral music, which explains why I was not hearing the old IS a few minutes prior to other broadcasts. Need to tune the better English transmissions a few minutes before 2200 on 9830 (RTTY permitting), 0300 on 9515 to North America. By clicking on Broadcast from this page http://www.trt-world.com/trtworld/en/news.aspx the complete transmission autolaunches. But audio on demand omits the IS lead-in! As of Aug 14, the latest one is dated 11 August! and starts with the canned sign=*off* announcement! ``you have been listening to ---``, English schedule, ``thank you for listening to the Voice of Turkey, and goodbye``, but then program previews and news (or rather olds). Advancing player to near the end of the 50+ minute file, but nothing audible, maybe not fully loaded yet, but can play the Q of the Month at :35 in.
