Nyt selvisi! Kiinanpojat olivat yrittäneet kopioida toimivaa kytkentää ATS-909 -mallista … mutta X-mallissa kytkin onkin erilainen ja kopiointi ei onnistunut. 909-mallissa äänenvärinsäätökytkin toimii, kuten sen oli ajateltu toimivan … siis oikein. X-mallissa taas ei. Eli kyseessä on selvä suunnitteluvirhe – pitänee tutkia, millä tilanne saadaan normalisoiduksi ja korjatuksi. Tuo 4 kHz:n vt-suodin odottaa vielä vaihtamista, ehkäpä huomenna. Monet DX-kuuntelijat kuuntelevat kapealla SSB-suotimella … niin minäkin, mutta vain SSB-asemia. AM:llä ylä-äänien tarpeeton poisto alkaa heikentää lähetyksen luettavuutta merkittävästi. Ainakin itselläni. Mutta kuunteluunkin voi harjaantua … niin musiikin kuin radioasemienkin kuunteluun. Se on jo vuodelta 2002-2003 muistaakseni. Toisaalta muistan kokeilemattakin miten se tuolta osin toimi/ toimii. Toisaalta voi olla niin, että IM hifistinä kuulee musiikin ylä- ja alataajuudet aivan eri tavalla kuin moni muu. Toisaalta lintu- ja hyönteisharrastajana sanoisin, että äänet ovat minulle äärimmäisen tärkeitä, suorastaan elinehto. Kaikki linnut, hyönteisistä heinäsirkat ja hepokatit ym. Ja kuuloni lie poikkeuksellisen hyvä, se on monesti todettu ja viimeksi tänään. Ja ikää 59v. Mutta kuulen hyvin selvästi ylä-äänet, jotka monilta nuoremmilta täysin kaikonneet, tai niitä heillä ei ollutkaan kuultavissa koko ikänä. Ja alataajuuksilta matalammat, jotka monilta myös kaikonneet, tai heillä ei niitä ollutkaan kuultavissa... En ole koskaan kokenut iän aiheuttamaa kuulo-ongelmaa, ihan päinvastoin. Tuntuu, että ne terävimmät ja kirkkaimmat (ja monella kuulumattomat) äänet tulevat vain selvemmiksi ja kirkkaimmiksi..., ja vielä kovemmiksi. Tuntuu uskomattomalta, etteivät niitä monet edes kuule. Sama koskee matalia ääniä. Korvani lienee tarkoitettu luontoharrastukseen, mutta kyllä tuosta avusta hyötyä on ollut DX- kuuntelussakin. Musiikista (pidän klassisesta lähtien soulista jazziin, rokkiin, bluesiin ym.) puhuen en ole niin kranttu kuin luontojen äänissä. =) Kun minulle musiikki soi sopivan puhtaasti ja äänialat ok niin hyvä. En ole hifisti musiikin suhteen, ihme ja kumma kai. :) Mutta vanhan hifistin (kuten IM) korva voi kuulla silloin sieltä mitä säröjä tahansa, joita kuulen luonnossa säröiksi nimeämättä. =) Oma 909 käyttäytyy niin kai kun pitääkin, eli näppäinasennosta riippumatta ei suuren suurta muutosta tule mihinkään suuntaan. Niin kuin pitääkin, eli moisilta hanikoilta en suuria odottanutkaan. Minusta ne ovat koristeita vain. Eli omissa kuunteluissani sillä ei ole väliä. Suuria bassoja ja hienovireisiä diskantteja ei tuosta värkistä irtoa asennosta riippumatta. Samanlainen Tecsun ym. Selena, Riga ym. kannettavissa värkeissä antoi jo jotain erillisillä diskantti- ja bassosäätimillä. Mutta noiden matkaradioiden kaiuttimetkin jo eri luokkaa... Ja ääni varsin mukava matkaradioksi. Isommista venäläisistä (Riga 103) sai jo bassopotkuakin, tuota turha odotella muovisista pikkutoosista, joiden muut avut (herkkyys, selektiivisyys ym) nykyisin ovat tavan harrastajille aivan riittävät. Sama koskee matalia ääniä. Korvani lienee tarkoitettu luontoharrastukseen, mutta kyllä tuosta avusta hyötyä on ollut DX- kuuntelussakin. Musiikista (pidän klassisesta lähtien soulista jazziin, rokkiin, bluesiin ym.) puhuen en ole niin kranttu kuin luontojen äänissä. =) Kun minulle musiikki soi sopivan puhtaasti ja äänialat ok niin hyvä. En ole hifisti musiikin suhteen, ihme ja kumma kai. :) Mutta vanhan hifistin (kuten IM) korva voi kuulla silloin sieltä mitä säröjä tahansa, joita kuulen luonnossa säröiksi nimeämättä. =) Oma 909 käyttäytyy niin kai kun pitääkin, eli näppäinasennosta riippumatta ei suuren suurta muutosta tule mihinkään suuntaan. Niin kuin pitääkin, eli moisilta hanikoilta en suuria odottanutkaan. Minusta ne ovat koristeita vain. Eli omissa kuunteluissani sillä ei ole väliä. Suuria bassoja ja hienovireisiä diskantteja ei tuosta värkistä irtoa asennosta riippumatta. Samanlainen Tecsun ym. Selena, Riga ym. kannettavissa värkeissä antoi jo jotain erillisillä diskantti- ja bassosäätimillä. Mutta noiden matkaradioiden kaiuttimetkin jo eri luokkaa... Ja ääni varsin mukava matkaradioksi. Isommista venäläisistä (Riga 103) sai jo bassopotkuakin, tuota turha odotella muovisista pikkutoosista, joiden muut avut (herkkyys, selektiivisyys ym) nykyisin ovat tavan harrastajille aivan riittävät. As Minnesotans have been noting, there is a low audible het on frequency, so somebody else is off-channel, and to the low side. They think it`s KMMQ in NE but not I, since LAH loops ENE/WSW from here. At 0527 UT I do get a uncopied Spanish ID which is not off-frequency, and from N/S-ish, and presumably that is KMMQ. Then by 0534 UT CCI on 1020 grows from something in English, ad in the 412 area code, i.e. KDKA Pgh PA, but which is surely not the off-freq either, and not much of a signal. Once again, since there are no Mexicans in the north or west, that rather leaves the much-crippled, QRP from 50 kW KCKN Roswell NM as prime suspect. With max signal from the het, I also note that it is pulsing regularly, at the rate of 136/minute. Someone closer to KCKN should be able to check out these signatures. And KOKP is still off April 27 at 1957 UT check (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ** OKLAHOMA. After many months of NO SIGNAL on cable 15 from Suddenlink in Enid, since must-carry(?) KXOK-LD a block away has been off the RF31 air, *suddenly* April 26 at 2230 UT I notice an old Roy Rogers movie eventually involving an airplane! So KXOK is back? NO, checking the antenna feed, still no RF 31, but the relay on RF 32 is on, still with infomercials only, and no sound most of the time, as in my last report. So what`s this on C15? It`s still labeled KXOK! Finally I match it up to Cable 134, still labeled as long-gone ZUUS --- but it`s still KOKH RF 24, 25.2 being relayed, i.e. now with GRIT = old movie channel. Roy Rogers color is washed out, and I don`t think brown horses should have blue highlights, so presumably colorized. It`s also miserably low-res and stretched (can`t monkey with aspect on cable channels to my sets). Another old RR movie starts at UT April 27. I noticed this first on analog cable 15, which I still have plugged into one monitor, as well as DTV C15 and C134 --- one little problem --- there is no sound on either 15 with this input! Just on C134, and still the case 30 hours later recheck. Why bother? April 28 2015 NBC Papua New Guinea Latest update for NBC: $100m+ is needed to rebuild the national broadcaster says the Minister of Communications. In a related interview broadcast from Radio New Zealand International recently, the Institute of National Affairs makes the following points: * shortwave continues to be the only way to reach all rural areas * provincial and district administrations are expected to put more funds into local programs after years of no attention * NBC is reconsiering if it should own and manage the infrastructure such as broadcast towers and transmitters * sharing of facilities with mobile phone operators is being considered to reach more areas with FM signals In the meantime, provincial shortwave stations continue to come back to life after months off air, or go silent without warning. Regular monitoring is needed to understand the situation day by day. With thanks to ADXC/RNZI. Toki korkeimpien äänien kohinaa voi koettaa kuuntelussa vaimentaa … mutta paras tapa on tehdä mahdollinen kaistaleveyden karsinta jo tuolla vt-asteessa … siis vt-suotimella. Tuo 4 kHz:n vt-suodin odottaa vielä vaihtamista, ehkäpä huomenna. Monet DX-kuuntelijat kuuntelevat kapealla SSB-suotimella … niin minäkin, mutta vain SSB-asemia. AM:llä ylä-äänien tarpeeton poisto alkaa heikentää lähetyksen luettavuutta merkittävästi. Ainakin itselläni. Mutta kuunteluunkin voi harjaantua … niin musiikin kuin radioasemienkin kuunteluun. Mutta mielipideseikkojahan nämä monasti ovat. Noin yleisesti ottaen HiFi-puolella on kuitenkin tarpeettoman paljon HUUHAA:ta Mitä kukin välikaapeleitten yms. eroja kuulee. Se on jo vuodelta 2002-2003 muistaakseni. Toisaalta muistan kokeilemattakin miten se tuolta osin toimi/ toimii. Toisaalta voi olla niin, että IM hifistinä kuulee musiikin ylä- ja alataajuudet aivan eri tavalla kuin moni muu. Toisaalta lintu- ja hyönteisharrastajana sanoisin, että äänet ovat minulle äärimmäisen tärkeitä, suorastaan elinehto. Kaikki linnut, hyönteisistä heinäsirkat ja hepokatit ym. Ja kuuloni lie poikkeuksellisen hyvä, se on monesti todettu ja viimeksi tänään. Ja ikää 59v. Mutta kuulen hyvin selvästi ylä-äänet, jotka monilta nuoremmilta täysin kaikonneet, tai niitä heillä ei ollutkaan kuultavissa koko ikänä. Ja alataajuuksilta matalammat, jotka monilta myös kaikonneet, tai heillä ei niitä ollutkaan kuultavissa... En ole koskaan kokenut iän aiheuttamaa kuulo-ongelmaa, ihan päinvastoin. Tuntuu, että ne terävimmät ja kirkkaimmat (ja monella kuulumattomat) äänet tulevat vain selvemmiksi ja kirkkaimmiksi..., ja vielä kovemmiksi. Tuntuu uskomattomalta, etteivät niitä monet edes kuule. Sama koskee matalia ääniä. Korvani lienee tarkoitettu luontoharrastukseen, mutta kyllä tuosta avusta hyötyä on ollut DX- kuuntelussakin. Musiikista (pidän klassisesta lähtien soulista jazziin, rokkiin, bluesiin ym.) puhuen en ole niin kranttu kuin luontojen äänissä. =) Kun minulle musiikki soi sopivan puhtaasti ja äänialat ok niin hyvä. En ole hifisti musiikin suhteen, ihme ja kumma kai. :) Mutta vanhan hifistin (kuten IM) korva voi kuulla silloin sieltä mitä säröjä tahansa, joita kuulen luonnossa säröiksi nimeämättä. =) Oma 909 käyttäytyy niin kai kun pitääkin, eli näppäinasennosta riippumatta ei suuren suurta muutosta tule mihinkään suuntaan. Niin kuin pitääkin, eli moisilta hanikoilta en suuria odottanutkaan. Minusta ne ovat koristeita vain. Eli omissa kuunteluissani sillä ei ole väliä. Suuria bassoja ja hienovireisiä diskantteja ei tuosta värkistä irtoa asennosta riippumatta. Samanlainen Tecsun ym. Selena, Riga ym. kannettavissa värkeissä antoi jo jotain erillisillä diskantti- ja bassosäätimillä. Mutta noiden matkaradioiden kaiuttimetkin jo eri luokkaa... Ja ääni varsin mukava matkaradioksi. Isommista venäläisistä (Riga 103) sai jo bassopotkuakin, tuota turha odotella muovisista pikkutoosista, joiden muut avut (herkkyys, selektiivisyys ym) nykyisin ovat tavan harrastajille aivan riittävät.

Seurakuntavaalien äänestysaktiivisuus on aina jäänyt perin alhaiseksi (15.5% v. 2014), mutta Vuoden Asema -äänestyksen passiivisuus lyö sen laudalta kirkkaasti.
