Huomenta! Intransitiivista, ei vaan transitiivista. Olen ne pisteet 
tarkoiteuksella pudottanut pois useista viesteistäni yleensä, koska muuten 
teksti muuttuu aika vaikeaselkoiseksi, koska suomen kielessä on kuitenkin 
paljon ä ja ö -kirjaimia, joita tämä sivu ei osaa tunnistaa ainakaan minun 
koneellani vaan osaa kuitenkin pistää tilalle jonkin perin kummallisen 
eksoottisen kirjaimen! Olen joskus perännyt sitä, onko joukossamme sellaisia 
atk-guruja, jotka saisivat tämän sivun asetukset pistää kuntoon, mutta 
ilmeisesti heitä ei sitten ole, eikä ollut?
Asiasta kolmanteen. Tuolla pääsivulla on keskusteltu taas noista Babockin 
lähetystesteistä ja hämmästyksekseni näin siellä jopa niistä saadun QSL:n. Itse 
en sellaista vuosi-pari sitten saanut vaan eläkkeellä olleen amatöörin 
ystävällisen kirjeen, jossa hän hieman yritti aukaista tätä testaustouhua, joka 
näkyy jatkuvan edelleen. Olen arvuutellut mielessäni sitä, mitä ne siellä 
oikein puuhailee ja olen tullut siihen johtopäätökseen, että he testaavat uusia 
lähettimiä ehkä jonkun lähetinvalmistajan piikkiin? Sillä muutenhan koko 
touhussa ei näyttäisi olevan mitään järkeä, koska lähetykset tulevat aina 
samalta lähetysasemalta. Onko kysymys ns lopputarkastuksesta, jolla 
kenttäkokein varmistetaan, että labratulokset vastaavat oikeissa oloissa sitä 
mitä manuaaleissa luvataan? Onko jollakin parempaa tietoa?

** KOREA SOUTH. 9805, Nov 15 at 2258, VG S9+10 with flute and guitar music; 
2259, KBSWR theme and Indonesian ID; 2300 theme and opening Chinese. Both hours 
250 kW on same 225 degree beam from Kimjae. Apparently KBS is not worthy of 
ChiCom jamming (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 1390, Nov 16 at 1307 UT, KCRC Enid is open carrier/dead air, as 
are the nasty spurs hetting 1360 and 1420, but they are also wobbly. Still dead 
at 1313 UT; obviously no one in charge and no one cares whether it modulate or 
not. Unfortunately, it usually does, 24/7 with stupid CBS sports talk. I take 
the opportunity to null the fundamental for anything else, but it`s still too 
strong, only a few miles away. Third harmonic 4170 also silent still at 1341 UT 
except for some hum. Had resumed modulation by next check 1522 UT (Glenn 
Hauser, Enid OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SOMALILAND. 7120, Nov 16 at 1318, R. Hargeisa, S8 with undermodulated song; 
1320 I think I hear the English words ``This is ---`` as a third of an hour in

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your report and I confirm the details are correct. These 
transmissions were to fault-find on a 250/300 kW sender at the UK HF 
transmitter station at Woofferton.
 
These duration of these tests can be variable as the engineers can sometimes 
need a long time to establish a fault or they may interrupt the test, make an 
adjustment and resume. This is particularly so if the fault is of an 
intermittent nature.
 
Babcock, Woofferton is the only remaining UK HF sender broadcast station and 
also is the only one with this transmission test audio and email address.
 
The audio is contained in a file play-out system and incorporates non-copyright 
music and voice announcements from one of the engineers, Martin 2E1EKX at the 
transmitter site.

15285 kHz came across this MUCH BUZZY signal from BSKSA Riyadh
at 0438 UT on Nov 16.

NO CARRIER detected though, S=7-8 in Doha Qatar (backlobe), faulty shortwave
TX at Riyadh, only Swahili program range observed at 15280.9 to 15287.3 kHz
range. Many strings visible on Perseus SDR screen display
44(!) x 120 Hertz distance apart strings - TERRIBLE BUZZ AUDIO SOUND.
Schedule requested 0400-0700 UT to ITU zones 48S, 52E, 53.
