[HCDX] ERT commemorates World Radio Day with "black" in shortwaves
THis article has been sent to me via my best man an ex-DXer of the90s Today is "World Radio Day", and the government has decided tocommemorate it by suspending the NRA's international shortwave programme. Thetransmission of the shortwave signal, by decision of the ERT management, willcontinue until 31 March 2022. They considered ERT to be dead and they hurried to loot its body, giving out broadcasts, frequencies, material and the Radio-Television magazine. They considered ERT to be unable to react and they hurried to humiliate decades of history and memory. They named a pirate construction as EDT. The name is a misprint, the construction is illegal, in perfect cooperation with the private channels moguls Digea. Around 2100 utc ERT Komotini 1404 was still on. Carrier on SW frequencies. Komotini had serious debate on the situation, regular interval signals and Elliniki radiofonia announcements. Then they played Beatles' Revolution. Approximately 2230 utc programme appeared on Voice Of Greece frequencies until Avlis was closed around 0800 utx this morning. During this period there was observed a mysterious jammer on 15630 kHz between 2355-0025 utc. During the night several blogs, sites and even commercial tv stations began relaying now suddenly illegal pirate tv transmission of ERT as a wide network in a wikileaks style manner. RTVE in Spain and BBC followed the example and began relaying ERT. An American satellite provider received a phone call that ordered it to stop transmitting unauthorised programme of station called ERT. ERT FM was reported still on at least in Thessaloniki, Khania, Serres, Ioanninon, and Patra. Authoríties in Samos reprtedly lament that closure of ERT denies the island its only radio station. At 0200 utc was the deadline to empty Radiomegaron building. TV newscaster stated in direct transmission to riot police that doors are open, and journalists are not going anywhere. ERT security guard said on tv that his shift will end at 6 o'clock in morning and there is no way he is leaving his workplace before that. Thousands of protesters outside still haven't gone anywhere and wave placards saying among other things revolution will not be televised. GREECE 11645 ERT Avlis has a problem on its 3rd tx now ? ERT ERA5 Avlis in German missed on Sun June 1st too, according report on A-DX ng item. Today I checked that foreign language channel, regular on air 0500-1000 UT, but txion missed again totally. ERT ERA5 Greek was on air at same time on 9420 and 15630 kHz. From 1100 UT ERT ERA5 Greek was on air again on two channels only: ERT Greek on 9420 powerhouse, and 9935 carried the usual ERA3 Makedonias Thessaloniki relay 1100-2300 UT. But 3rd channel 15630 kHz was empty again. June 2. John, may you can ask the ERT staff? ROMANIA RRI Tiganesti solved their 2nd tx problem on June 1 at 2100 UT. Today June 2nd noted French 1000-1056 on two channels again, 11830 and 15380, as well as German at 100 UT on 9525 and 11775 kHz. FRANCE R Algerienne HQ TEST relays via Issoudun noted on May 26 to 29 only. IRAN 13789.95 IRIB in Arabic is on odd frequ daily, noted around 0620 UT with S=4 signal. USA 9369.94 WTJC Bible reading progr in English, with S=4 signal at 0605 UT. HAWAII 13650 KWHR came 'through' on May 31: around 0725 UT with station ID at 0727 UT, S=2-3 tiny signal, deep fades into Europe.
