[HCDX] FM DX from NW PA

Here are my favorite FM DX Catches over the last week or so. It's not
everything I've logged, but these are my favorites. Location: Ridgway, PA
at 2000 feet in elevation with Sangean HDT1 and 5 element log periodic FM
Antenna. Largely free of terrain obstructions and at almost the highest
point in town.

"Country 105" with a female, mentioning the sponsor of a traffic report is
an Orangeville business. 50kw/269 feet at 212 miles on Fri Dec 22nd, 2017
at 8:01am Eastern.

WDSY-FM 107.9 Pittsburgh, PA. 17,500 Watts/827 feet at 93 mile. Somewhat
good of a catch since 107.9 is usually the WCED-AM translator from 30 miles
away which is nearly line of sight to me on the hill. But, I also got
WDSY's HD2 which is a simulcast of 100.7 Star, their full power Hot AC
signal and HD3 is an automated KDKA Traffic & Weather Together format.

WLER-FM 97.7 Butler, PA. 6KW Equivalent Class A at about 75 miles SW of me.
Made a decent catch because RDS lit up, but also because it is one click
over from 50KW blowtorch WDDH 97.5 (where I work)

BX93, CJBX 92.7 London, Ontario. 50KW/397 feet from about 160 miles away.
Local ads and BX93 liner with country music, wiping out semi local C93,
WCCR Clarion PA about 45 miles SW of me.

CKDK-FM 103.9 Woodstock/London, Ontario 51KW at about 400 feet from roughly
160 miles away. Solid signal, walloping the beejbers out of semi local WAGL
130.9 about 40 miles NE of me for about half hour.

"Q Country 107", WSAQ 107.1 Port Huron, Michigan. 6KW Class A at about 230
miles away with male DJ Talking between songs and mentioning Q Country 107.

Mix 94.1 WHBC Canton, OH. About 140 miles for this 50KW signal, which isnt
hugely far. But I am only 1 mile from the 25,000 Watt WKBI 93.9 Signal...
it is WKBI causing that warmth, distortion and overmodulation.

Country 106, CIKZ 106.7 Kitchener Ontario with 5KW at about 600 feet at
about 150-160 miles with country countdown show.

KLite 102.9, CKLH Hamilton, Ontario. 40,3000 watts/400 feet from about 160
miles away with Christmas music and announcer mentioning KLite 102.9,
wiping out semi local OK!102.9 WOKW

Fresh Radio 103.1, CFHK St Thomas/London, Ontario. 60KW at about 600 feet,
from 150-160 miles away with Fresh 103.1 mentions and DJ. Wiping out semi
local 103.1 The Fox WQFX Russell, PA/Jamestown, NY

92.9 The Grand CHTG Haldimand, Ontario. 10KW at about 350 feet from 130-140
miles away. Local commercials and 92.9 The Grand jingle.

CFMZ 96.3 Toronto, Ontario. 24,000 Watts at about 900 feet form about 170
miles away. Classical music and announcer.

Had a strong enough signal Sunday night to get RDS lock on CBCL 93.5
London, Ontario from 150 miles north of me.

WGPR, Hot 107.5 Detroit seems to have some path right to my radio at 233.5
miles away.

Here's catholic WAOB 106.7 Beaver Falls, PA at about 100 miles away. Signal
was strong enough to trip the RDS on my radio

radio. Pretty good, near local like signal

This is WKSV 89.1 Thompson, OH with a strong enough signal at about 130
miles to have the RDS lock on, audio:

My other favorite from the weekend, "Jewel 92" CKPC 92.1 Brantford, Ontario
at 150 miles north. It tripped the RDS several times. Audio:

I also had a solid RDS lock on 104.7 The Heart FM CIHR Woodstock, Ontario
from about 150 miles away with some rocking 80s music. Audio:

I have discovered over the last 3 days that a good RDS lock on a signal
over 100 miles away is considered "good" but may not necessarily be "DX"
