A suggestion,
If you filed them as (in this example, of yours)

031130_720kHz_unknown_0955z.rm

then every file you have would automatically sort by the date,
even across decades until 2099, assuming you find that sorting
by date is the most useful attribute in the information field.

Then the freq would be the second sort field, in any given date.
If you have files going before the century change then you
would avoid the Y2K issue and use 19990720, 2215,
etc. (memory is cheap now! No excuses...)
