If you are sure you want to remove a failed KIDS install, then you can do the following.  But make sure you really really want to do this.
Using Fileman enter/edit, select the KIDS build from file 9.7  Then change the status to LOADED.  Then you will be able use the KIDS UNLOAD option.

That sounds like doing things the hard way. If you have a test system, you might install there and then create your own distribution, but if you must edit the transport global, why not just edit the .KID file directly? (It's just text.)
