Go read the Acronis forums and decide on that. Seems past few versions have some
issues, dunno if that's still the case. Personally I am still using TI Home V9.

NIS and AV. Ghost 14, I'm not sure about yet. I did like the earlier
versions. But as for the boot disk, booting off the Ghost disk does allow
you to restore from a non-booting system.

Like I said, I like Acronis, I just have a very workable solution with
Norton.

Of ghost or av or. ? I've seen more people get their winsock screwed by av
/ firewall where only norton removal tool and some replacements fix it.
That product is toast. And to me, the last version of ghost that was really
worth a damn was 2003. Once they forgot how important bootable cloning
media was, they lost the thread altogether. That combined with acronis
support for things like Bart, cloning non pc drives, etc.

I can get Acronis True Image Home 2009 for $29.65. Is this a good
price? It seems the consensus here was that his was a pretty good
package (best?) for backup and imaging. I thought it may be nice to get
Disk Director 10 too but adding that would bring the total to $79.64. Is
DD worth the extra money? Anyone know of any package deals for the two

That is a decent price. (I've done better, but you have to "strike
while the iron is hot"...)
Acronis will not honor any GREAT deals that are basically hacks
or mutiple sales of the SAME install key, so be careful where you buy.
(I only read their announcements, no experience in getting robbed.)

Once you are a customer, they offer deals and discounts.

I have both. They do different things.
