John, Even stranger is that Adobe now seems to force V9 even when my machine does NOT meet their presented 'system requirements!' It took me the better part of an hour to get Adobe to point to, download, and install V8.12. I agree that it's pretty bad to install random crap like that without asking. But AIR is pretty cool. PDF annotations, etc. I've never needed any of their pay features. Plus I'm not 100% sure that those pay features are even in Acrobat Reader as well. I find the browser integration of the adobe client a bit faster and less buggy than Foxit. I was a Foxit user until I got Adobe 8 and its so slick I never went back, except on my laptop where I don't have the full Adobe install - that still has Foxit. It does everything I want except it doesn't select text well, but that may be a PDF thing. T

Thanks everyone for the opinions. I guess I use it on simple stuff. I never had trouble with text or anything else.
