RE: [H] Samsung 226BW 22 WideScreen LCD - $291
This model uses either a Samsung LTM220M1 or an AU Optronics M220EW01. Both of these are TN Film type panels. They'll provide a good response rate and are economical, at the expense of color reproduction (color depth and color accuracy) and viewing angle. A good price on a moderately-sized panel, though. 1680x1050 (WSXGA+) may be a bit low on the resolution. Most 20 WS panels are 1680x1050, whereas most 24 WS panels are 1920x1200 (WUXGA). -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Joe User Sent: Monday, April 16, 2007 7:28 PM To: The Hardware List Subject: [H] Samsung 226BW 22 WideScreen LCD - $291 http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=204021909adid=17051dcaid=17051 Samsung 226BW 22 WideScreen LCD Display 1000:1(DC 3000:1), 2ms, DVI - Black List Price: $539.00 Our Price: $310.95 Price After Rebate(s): $290.95 Shipping: FREE Seems like a good deal... or no? -- Regards, joeuser - Still looking for the 'any' key...

Very happy with it; except the piano finish attracts dust like mad. Came with a dust rag, and I know why. Picture is sweet. I don't do much gaming, but movies play very well. best, al

I read the reviews, and actually they say this one *does* use the S panel instead of the TN most others use, which would make this a screaming deal.. :) This model uses either a Samsung LTM220M1 or an AU Optronics M220EW01. RE: [H] Samsung 226BW 22 WideScreen LCD - $291
They're both TN+ film panels. The S panel is simply the TN panel made by Samsung. It's better than the AUO, but still is a TN+.
