What is a VLK licence, by the way?


It is a Volume license, probably made with a key generator, which 
were the ones WGA was targeting.

$150 sounds like a "small OEM version"...

Well, here is the latest. It was a VLK license. Which means it was a
bootleg and I would need either a legit VLK to replace or buy it at
150. Since it's his money he will have to decide on 100 for XP home
and a reload or 150 for Pro. Hope he does for the 150. Sounds like a
cheap XP pro to me.

I'm curious.  How much of your time did you spend figuring this out?  If he 
decides to just skip it, do you get paid?

Great, I thought I recalled someone saying on our list there were
false positives. I cannot say if this is copy and 'friend' are
credible or not but I will try to fight it first.
