Another film to those Anne Abrams reported back to the list in March: Inspiring Figure: the Louis Rubenstein Story. Canada, 2002. 26 minutes. Directed by Rosalind Raddatz. Rubenstein was the first person to become figure skating champion of the world. He was active in several sports including bicycling, bowling and curling. He was on the city council in Montreal and was president of the YMHA there. Rubenstein died in 1931. [ha-Safran]: Facilitators for Programming Sessions
Dear Safraniyot and Safranim, Please volunteer to be a facilitator at one of the Convention's sessions. If you're planning to attend a certain session anyway, why not act as that session's facilitator? Facilitators check to see if the lights are on (or off if requested), the AV equipment is there and working, (someone else gets it or fixes it), that the handouts are displayed, checks to make sure that all who come into the session are wearing badges entitling them to be there. Please let us know which 3 sessions appeal to you most. And, get ready to have a wonderful time at the New York Convention!
