2005-11-02 Thread Israbook Gefen Publishing House
Dear ha-Safraners,

China and the Jewish People

Old Civilizations in a New Era

By Dr. Shalom Salomon Wald

Price: $16.00

Paperback * 126pp * ISBN 9652293474 *

Publish Date: 01/2005

The Jewish people are now facing critical dilemmas, opportunities and
challenges that create a need for systematic thinking to examine the
decisions that may affect the standing of world Jewry in the decades to
come. China and the Jewish People is the first document in a series of
strategy papers published by the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute
(JPPPI) dedicated to improving the standing of the Jewish people in emerging
superpowers without a biblical tradition. This important work effectively
demonstrates opportunities for generating connections between two ancient
civilizations.

Please enjoy this intelligent and potentially influential work.

[ha-Safran]: LC Authority Records re: Jewish ethics

2005-11-02 Thread Liza Stabler
Dear Safraniyot and Safranim,

In searching the LC authority site today, we discovered
something quite disturbing. When one clicks on the broad
term, Religious ethics to see the narrow terms, there
appears a list including Buddhist ethics, Christian
etics, Bahai ethics (11 choices).

Guess what's missing, folks. Yup, you're right, LC's own
authorized term, Jewish ethics!

Whom does one contact about this?
