[ha-Safran]: AJL Publication Orders & Sydney Taylor Seal Orders
The good news is that I have been receiving many orders for AJL Publications and Sydney Taylor seals. The not-so-good news is that for anyone placing orders during the next few weeks there will be a delay of about 3 weeks in filling them, since I will be in Israel for Pesach and will not return to work until April 16. [ha-Safran]: Dewey vs. Weine
Looking for other Jewish Day School Librarians. Do most of you use the Weine system instead of the Dewey Decimal in your school libraries? We have built up our library to 10,000 books using the Dewey Decimal. But now we are looking to expand and create a larger library so we can also be open to the community. We will be receiving books from our temple library to integrate into our system. Any recommendations on how to do this, or should we switch our system over to Weine? I would like some feedback please. [ha-Safran]: Summer reading program
About a month or two ago someone posted about a summer reading program for their school. I am very interested in some information about this program and can't seem to locate the email address for this person. Could you please contact me. We are a day school and interested in starting a summer reading program. Also we are trying to find Israeli magazines for kids, ages K-8 to have in our library. Anybody know of any that are worthwhile for the kids?
