She is also a Certified Bach Flower Remedy counselor. After having suffered for many years with osteoarthritis and its many painful and debilitating side effects, she decided to add holistic health to her curricula. She studied extensively the field of nutrition, particularly vegetarianism and a Whole Natural Foods Diet and, thus, learned first hand the connection between disease, de-toxifying, a plant-based diet and healing. She gave diet workshops in Toronto and Jerusalem before deciding to share her knowledge and experiences with a wider audience. [ha-Safran]: Say Chai on The Book of Life
Hey, everybody. I need your help. In the April episode of my podcast, The Book of Life, I invited listeners to send in a greeting that I'll read aloud on the May show. I'm hoping people will send greetings for friends who are also listeners, or for friends who should become listeners - other people they know who care about Jewish books. So far, I haven't received any greetings to use on the show. People are surprisingly shy, I guess! I hope that YOU will help me out and consider sending a greeting. Nothing fancy: something as simple as Hello from Heidi in Boca Raton to Mom and Dad in Philly is fine. The ONLY catch is that I hope you'll inform the person you are greeting that they should listen to the May episode, so they can hear their name on the air! FYI, the May episode's theme will be baseball, so it's a good time to greet friends who are fans of the game. Below is the description of the say chai initiative as it appeared in the April show: Next month The Book of Life will air its 18th episode. The number 18 is considered lucky in Jewish tradition. According to Gematria or Jewish Numerology, the Hebrew letters chet and yud correspond to the numbers 8 and 10. Chet and yud spell Chai, the Hebrew word for Life. A little complicated, but the point is that Show Number 18 is a perfect time to celebrate The Book of Life! Here's your chance to say chai! to someone in your life! On our May episode I'll be reading your shout-outs, similar to the greetings from audience members that Garrison Keillor reads aloud after intermission on A Prairie Home Companion. Send a message for your friends or family to [EMAIL PROTECTED], and be sure to tell them to tune in in May to hear their names on the air! Thanks in advance for your help!
