Several persons recalled the Aleph Bet Story Book by Deborah Pessin. I wonder if anyone remembers Deborah Pessin. She was my teacher at the CJI (Central Jewish Institute), an after school and Sunday morning independent "Talmud Torah" in Manhattan. The building at that time in the early 1940s was rented out to the Ramaz School (the 85th St. building), next to Congregation Kehilat Jeshurun. The principal was Mr. Karni (not sure of spelling).
