[ha-Safran]: Holocaust books for teens
I am looking for a Holocaust book for teens to replace The Devil's Arithmetic. The instructor is looking for a male protagonist. The books I have thought of so far are: Daniel's Story Daniel, Half Human and the Good Nazi Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. There are so many better books to teach the lessons of the Holocaust than those listed. My personal favorite story and one that I think really touches a child is Hana's Suitcase by Karen Levin. It brings the story of the Holocaust, so huge a concept to grasp when first introduced, to a more intimate level. The lessons we try to teach are seem to be most meaningful when they are about children similar in age to those reading the book.
