[ha-Safran]: Accreditation Update
I NEED HELP!! This past year the accreditation committee is in desperate need of committee members. I cannot do it by myself. Librarians who have gone through the accreditation process understand how important that accreditation is. I know you are busy, but if we do not help each other nothing gets done!! Please call me at 516-263-8842 if you can offer any time to help me with the committee. -- Thank you For all those accredited libraries who have not received the logo please e-mail me so I can send it to you. Librarians -- I realize I have not updated the website -- for that I apologize however the forms are still valid. Applications are due by NO LATER THAN MARCH 1st, 2010 -- reponses should be out by mid-May, 2010. Any libraries that wants to be grandfathered in to the new 5 year cycle MUST return the sent forms by December 10th, 2009. If I do not receive the forms, you will lose your accreditations, and must begin the accreditation process from the beginning. IT"S NOT TOO LATE TO APPLY FOR ACCREDITATION!! The accredititation application period has been extended this year. All applications and supplemental requirements are due by February 28th, 2009!!! Getting your school or synagogue library accredited or keeping your accreditation current is one way to bring value to your library and show your administrators the high level of excellence you maintain within your collection. The accreditation forms are on the AJL webpage.
