[ha-Safran]: Book Repair Supplies

2009-07-20 Thread Jacqueline benefraim
If you need to repair your holy books, why don't you use paper from
the Holy Land. Tut-neyar makes their paper iby hand in Zichron
Ya-akov. Their kozo paper is competitively priced. You can visit them
at www.tutneyar.co.il, or in person, as I
did on my last visit to Israel.

Loose pages may be repaired with glue or Japanese paper. A 1902
siddur may not be worth a full conservation effort.

[ha-Safran]: Book repair

2007-11-11 Thread Berman, Cherille
A patron brought in a beautiful 1902 prayer book with a
mother-of-pearl cover in need of repair as a few pages are loose. I
would be most appreciative it if you could give me names of reliable
and reasonable antique book restorers. He is in California, but could
mail the book anywhere.
Many thanks
Cherille
