From the music director of our choir:

My suggestion is that they contact Transcontinental in New York, the
publishing house for currently available Jewish choral music.

How about Transcontinental Music?
My (secular) chorus just sang their 4-part arrangement of Zog nit
keynmol.
Transcontinental Press in NYC (Reform-affiliated, if that is relevant)
   http://www.etranscon.com/

Josh Jacobson has also arranged a number of pieces in 4 parts for the
Zamir Chorale of Boston; here is the webpage of his arrangements and
compositions.

Best of luck!

2007-12-12 Thread Yael Resnick
I sing in a Jewish women's choir and I am also a composer. I have
composed a variety of music in three or four parts. Most of my pieces
thus far are for three-part women's choir, but one is in four parts -
and the ones in three parts can be adapted for SATB. All are based on
Jewish texts, primarily Tehillim.

Besides my own local choir, my pieces have also been performed by
choirs in Springfield, MA, and in Texas. If you're interested in
knowing more about my music, I will be happy to speak with you!

[ha-Safran]: Four part choral music

2007-12-11 Thread Patricia Givens
My synagogue is starting a choral group and we are having a hard time
finding Jewish music in four parts (or two or three). Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated!
