Hello all,

Wow, I never expected to have so many answers waiting for me this morning - 
but of course nothing less than the best from this list serv!

I think we may have hit on the answer - as we all know, a reference 
question doesn't always have the right lead info.  But it looks like 
Harriet Lacksten in Sweden has gotten as close as possible to who we are 
looking for:

"There was a Finnish-Swedish jewish composer called Moses Pergament, but he
lived 1893-1977. He composed music with Jewish themes as well as some
liturgical music."

(and I got a quick lesson in Finnish Jewish history, lol).
