Feldheim is pleased to announce the new publication of "The Complete Mesillat Yesharim,"
Rabbi Moshe Hayyim Luzzatto's masterwork in two versions: Dialogue and Thematic Versions - the Dialogue based on new manuscript discovery, and the standard version restored. In bi-lingual, facing-column format, with English translation, commentary, introduction, epilogue and indices. The present volume, "The Complete Mesillat Yesharim," provides both versions in Hebrew in updated editing, together with a superb English translation. In addition, there is a thought-provoking and helpful English commentary. In the commentary, much effort is expended upon discovering the author's sources, hitherto unknown, and analyzing the differences between the two texts, using each to throw light upon passages in the other that without the creative use of the contrasts between them would have remained unclear and sometimes even misunderstood. At the end of the volume there are several essays exploring the major differences between these twin works and a very useful index of sources. The volume contains 672 pages. It is available in Hebrew- and English-bound editions. Edited by Rabbi Avraham Shoshana and associates. Among the contributors: Prof. Bernard Septimus of Harvard. The book is distributed by Feldheim Publishers.
