Some of you might recall how back in 2002, the webmaster for
MyJewishBooks.com posted a message on hasafran asking us to share
which book(s) we were reading at that time, so that he could put the
answers up on his website.
You can still see / read the answers at
http://www.myjewishbooks.com/whatareureading.html
Though I thought that this was a nice idea (and still do), it is a
bit laborious to keep sending the webmaster messages (e.g. I am no
longer reading XXX. I'm now reading YYY).
A more efficient way to share with others what you have read, are
reading, or are planning to read is to go to one of the virtual shelf
websites that have cropped up on the Internet.
Among them are :
Library Thing
http://www.librarything.com
List Book
http://www.listbook.net
Shelfari
http://www.shelfari.com
Good Reads
http://www.goodreads.com
Good Reads has a Groups section. Today I added the group Judaica
Librarians, which may be found at
http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/10461.Judaica_Librarians
If you have (or will be signing up for) a Good Reads account, please
feel free to join the group and add books to the Group Bookshelf
(which is empty at the moment).
