Dear Hasafranim,
In an attempt to make space in my tiny one-room library, I was hoping
to eliminate back issues of some journals (American Jewish Archives,
Moment, Commentary, etc), some of which go back to the 80s or
further. I had hoped that most of these back issues would be online,
but either they are not at all, or only go back a few years.
I could archive these issues, but the only real space is in the
synagogue attic and in that case, I might as well throw them out (it
doesn't get more inaccessible), which I am highly reluctant to do.
Though these back issues seem to get zero use, still, if there is no
other source, my gut tells me to keep them.
What have others done in this situation? I should mention that our
library is probably the only source for some of these periodicals in our area.
