Avishag by Yael Lotan (The Toby Press)
Lotan's meticulously researched novel wears its mantle of scholarship
lightly as it breathes life into a fascinating period of the bible-the
reigns of David and Solomon in Jerusalem, some three thousand years
ago...

Hardcover: ISBN: 1-902881-55-9 US$ 19.95

2004-01-28 Thread Bernard Katz
One book that comes to mind immediately is by Prof. Adele Reinhartz: Why
Ask My Name: Anonymity Identity in Biblical Narrative. Oxford U.P.,
1998. ISBN: 195099702. It is excellent and won the Canadian Jewish Book
Awards prize for Biblical and Rabbinic Scholarship.
