We would like to introduce a new book published by the Hebrew university Magnes 
press:
Studies in the Culture of North African Jewry
Collection of the Lectures Presented in the Workshop at Yale University October 
15-24, 2012

This volume offers twelve studies based on lectures delivered by participants 
of the workshop. These studies deal with culture and history, customs and 
traditions from all North African Jewish communities. The studies are to a 
large extent based on documents housed in the Yale University Library. This 
volume is a continuation of volume

 that appeared in 2011

Hi Everyone!

Sukkot is the Jewish holiday that commemorates how protective 
"Clouds of Glory" surrounded the Jewish people after leaving 
Egypt during the forty years of wandering in the desert. 
It also commemorates how the Jews lived in temporary dwellings 
during that same time. 
Sukkot begins Sunday night, September 27, 2015.
