[ha-Safran] Development Request

As the Development Chair, I've been asked by our partners at Elevate to
explore some of the important University Presses as potential sources of
donations. Many of them have significant Judaica publishing histories, both
past and present. We're interested in knowing if they have any history of
making donations, and who to contact about this possibility.

In addition, many of you are at Universities with important Jewish Studies
programs.

Can you contact me (off the list, please) and tell me if your press or your
university has made contributions over the past few years.

[ha-Safran] AJL Elections Coming Soon

This spring we will elect our new slate of AJL officers. The nominating 
committee has been hard at work, recruiting excellent candidates to lead AJL. I 
am pleased to present to you your slate of candidates for the spring election.

[ha-Safran] Encyclopedia Judaica

Anyone know where I might find a good home for the 1972 Encyclopedia
Judaica?  I've tried International Prisoners advocate groups.  I was
thinking if anyone knew of a small shul or school opening, without the
basics, we could send them there.  The thought of "recycling" the paper
makes me nauseous.
