[ha-Safran] Responding to Hurricane Harvey

2017-10-08 Thread Jacqueline Benefraim
Good Morning,

I missed the announcement for this webinar while getting ready for Sukkot,
but if you scroll down the page linked below to Sept. 28th or October 5th,
you'll see the link to recordings of webinars on how to care for
collections damaged by the recent round of hurricanes. I haven't watched
them myself, as my library is safe and dry for now, but I thought I'd share
it with my colleagues who have been affected by this terrible storm season.
I hope this information is helpful.

[ha-Safran] All-Of-A-Kind Family Walking Tour

2017-10-08 Thread Susan Kusel
Hello everyone,
I wanted to let you know about the next Museum at Eldridge Street's
All-Of-A-Kind Family Walking Tour, particularly for those who live in or near
Manhattan. They do these tours periodically, so if you are interested, but
can't make this one, you can ask the museum about when their next one will be.

ALL-OF-A-KIND FAMILY WALKING TOUR
October 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Museum at Eldridge Street, 12 Eldridge Street
New York, NY 10002

What was it like to be a kid growing up on the Lower East Side in the early
20th century? Find out as we follow in the footsteps of Ella, Henny, Sarah,
Charlotte, and Gertie, the beloved sisters depicted in Sydney Taylor's
children's classic All-of- a-Kind Family. Stroll through the story and onto
the streets as we visit the spots where the children played, prayed, and
purchased their pickles and candy. Tickets can be purchased on the museum
website.
