Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Yeshiva College, discuss her book, Every 
Last Breath. When Jacobson’s writing about her mother’s respiratory illness was 
interrupted by her own diagnosis with a rare blood disorder, she found her 
perspective profoundly altered. Every Last Breath follows these two chronic 
illnesses as they grow unexpectedly intertwined. Co-sponsored by the YC English 
Department, the Wilf Campus Writing Center, and Pre-Professional Advising 
Programs.

[ha-Safran] Authority records for early printers of Hebrew books

The National Library of Israel has been creating and enriching authority
records for printers of Judaica and Hebraica through 1830. These
multilingual, multiscript authority records are being shared with VIAF on a
monthly basis and are available both on viaf.org and in the ULI catalog (

In addition, NLI has created access points for printers on the
bibliographic records of over two thirds of pre-1830 Hebrew-script
resources.



The authority work is being produced as part of the I-TAL-YA Books project,
a unique collaboration between UCEI, BNCR and NLI to help make the rich
legacy of printed books in Italy appreciated by and accessible to
researchers and historians across the world. It aims to protect, preserve
and make accessible Italian Hebrew book holdings in Jewish communities and
selected state collections through the creation of an online Union
Catalogue of Hebrew books in Italy.  NLI has helped develop a workflow
process for implementing this ambitious project.
