A concise and illuminating narrative provides glimpses of the true stature
of this modest woman. Far more than a passive observer, the Rebbetzin was
often an active participant in the events that shook the very foundations
of Jewish life. Her biography is an account of the trials and triumphs of
the Lubavitcher movement during those tumultuous times.

The first of a series, this elegantly presented booklet is enhanced by 18
illustrations, charts and maps including to rare photographs of the
Rebbetzin in her youth.

[ha-Safran] Jewish cemeteries

2024-02-18 Thread F. Phred via Hasafran
Hi-
A local synagogue member recently passed away, and one of his academic research
areas was cemeteries, including a personal interest in Jewish cemeteries. His
wife is looking for a new home for his collectionf  of Jewish cemetery books,
both US and European. We can ship in the US.  Presumably, even in this digital
age, someone is still archiving paper formats . The donor would prefer that
they end up at a more specialized library than the Internet Archives.
Not relevant, but he really was a lovely man with a fabulous (multi-topic) book
collection!

Oh, and does anyone want a mint condition copy of the Encyclopedia Judaica
(1973)? A long shot, but...

-Thanks
