[ha-Safran] [HaSafran] Books on Cities in Israel for Gr.4

2016-02-09 Thread levines2000
HI! I am looking for suggestions on some good informational books to purchase
for our library for students in Gr.4 doing projects on cities in Israel. Also,
any websites you would recommend for that grade level to find info on cities in
Israel? Thanks! Janice Levine Congregation Etz Chaim Marietta, GA

In tribute to Marcia Brown who recently passed away, I can't help but think how
much I love reading her telling of Stone Soup and then reading Stone Soup and
Matzoh Balls with my students.

Hello Friends,

I have been asked to assist a teacher of multicultural literacy at a local
college by reading to her students two versions of the same children’s story,
one Jewish and one something else. I have been looking through my sources, but
am having trouble finding something, so I am turning to you. Does anyone have
any suggestions? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Susan,
Depends by what he means by Beginners.I have not checked recently, but I think
that Yanshuf and Jerusalem Post B’Ivrit  are still published.   The students
have to have a good vocabulary and knowledge of grammar before they can read
any magazine.

Hello,

I have a patron with a query, and I knew this list would be able to help.
Here’s the question:

“Can you recommend a Hebrew language (ideally Israeli) magazine or newsletter
for teens and preteens who have a beginner level of Hebrew?”

Thanks for any thoughts!

Hi-

I'm trying to help a colleague who wants to buy a Jewish-themed book for a
French boy. The book must be in French.

Could anybody recommend any specific titles and/or pertinent websites to browse
to find such a bar mitzvah gift.

I'd appreciate any suggestions and recommendations.

Thank you!
