Hello Susan,
Sandra Shechory here.  I am just finishing up with the survey of English
libraries and collections in Israel with the AACI.
Sounds like the students there are doing good things!  Here are some ideas
for where they could donate:

a. the AACI (Assoc of Americans and Canadians in Israel; Non-proft
organization) is starting a Children's library in the Jerusalem office.

b. another option is Books for Israel (check them out online) that donates
books to schools in Israel. Contact person Myrna Silverberg:

c. JELLY - Jerusalem English-language libraries for Youth does a lot of
good work in donating children's books to libraries in the Jerusalem area,
as well as doing story-hours and providing sets of books for English
teachers who teach children --both native English speakers and Israelis who

d. A.H.A.V.A. - teaches under-privileged kids English in the area of Mitzpe

[ha-Safran] Book distribution organization

Some students from a local yeshiva high school are running a used book
sale. They want to donate the money to an organization that provides funds
to Jewish Children's libraries (community or school based) in either the US
or Israel. They don't mean to give to individual schools, rather an
organization that distributes to such libraries.

Does anyone know of such an organization?
