[ha-Safran] Recommended Reads: New & Award-Winning Jewish Fiction

2020-10-28 Thread Rachel Kamin via Hasafran
Dear Friends,

I will be presenting on new and award-winning Jewish fiction for the American
Jewish University "B'Yachad Together"
Program on Tuesday, November 17 at 2:00pm PT/4:00pm CT/5:00pm ET.

Recommended Reads: New & Award-Winning Jewish Fiction
Learn all about the new and award winning Jewish fiction titles that you should
have on your to-read list right now.
Synagogue librarian and book club facilitator Rachel Kamin will cover literary
fiction and genre fiction, buzz-worthy names in Jewish literature and the
lesser gems that you may have missed, the best books for discussion groups, and
notable forthcoming titles.
Bring your thoughts and opinions about the books you've read recently for a
lively audience discussion, too!

Some of the books I'm discussing were included in the AJL Fiction Award
Committee's presentation at the 2020 Digital Conference this summer but I'll
also review newer titles too. I would love to see some familiar faces on my
screen (but no pressure since there is a registration cost!)

Also note that Nicole Krauss will discuss her new collection of short stories,
To Be a Man, on Thursday, November 5 at 12pm PT/2:00pm CT/3:00 pm ET (free of
charge).

PT/4:00pm CT/5:00pm ET.

I hope you are staying healthy & safe (and sane!) during this crazy, difficult
time and are finding comfort within the pages of a good book!
