[ha-Safran] School Workshop-March 14th, 2012, Riverdale, NYC

The 2012 School Workshop sponsored by the New York Metropolitan Area Chapter of 
the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL-NYMA) will be held on Wednesday, March 
14th, 9:30 am-12 noon, at SAR Academy, 655 West 254th Street, Riverdale, NY 
10471. The workshop will be devoted to the topic of anti-Semitism and 
anti-Israel propaganda in the media and on the Web and the school librarian's 
role in teaching students how to handle this onslaught of erroneous information.

PROGRAM:

10 am-12 noon

in Research on Israel - Joyce Levine, Librarian, North Shore Hebrew Academy 
High School; President, Synagogue, School and Center Division, Assn. of Jewish 
Libraries.

Save the date, Wednesday, March 14th, 2012, for the annual School Workshop 
sponsored by the New York Metropolitan Area Chapter of the Association of 
Jewish Libraries (AJL-NYMA). The workshop will be held at SAR Academy in 
Riverdale in the AM. Presenters include Mark Weitzman (Director of Government 
Affairs  Director of the Task Force against Hate and Terrorism, Simon 
Wiesenthal Center) whose topic is Web of Lies: Distorted Images of Jews, 
Judaism and Israel in the Media; and Joyce Levine (Librarian, North Shore 
Hebrew Academy High School, Great Neck, NY  President, Synagogues, Schools and 
Centers Division, Assn. of Jewish Libraries) who will speak about Surfing the 
Treacherous Wave of Anti-Israel Propaganda: Guiding Your Students in Research
