[ha-Safran] idea for kick-off event for synagogue-wide read
Hi all, Last time I wrote, my synagogue was in the process of selecting a book for a synagogue wide read. The book we eventually chose is: Self-portrait of a Hero: The Letters of Jonathan Netanyahu. The children of the congregation will read age appropriate books about heros. I am now trying to plan a kick-off event for the adult members of the congregation to get them excited about reading the book. I thought of having a member of the Israeli Defense Forces come and speak, but am having no luck so far. I am trying to contact the director/producer of the film Follow Me based upon the book, but no luck with that either so far. If anyone has any idea for a program (it doesn't have to be a long proram - 20-30 minutes will do), I would greatly appreciate it if you would share it with me.
