Re: [ha-Safran] publication opportunity: Children and Libraries

2022-10-29 Thread Annette Goldsmith via Hasafran
I'd like to put in a good word for *Children & Libraries* as a place to
publish, having co-edited the Research Roundup column with Betsy
Diamant-Cohen for about two years. Sharon Verbeten, the editor, is great to
work with. ALSC membership for fiscal year 2021 was 3567 and members get
the journal, so that's a lot of children's librarians who are going to see
your work. If practitioners are your target audience, *CAL* is an excellent
choice.

And of course don't forget about our own journal, *Judaica Librarianship
*, which also welcomes your
Jewish children's literature and librarianship submissions!

Shabbat Shalom!
Annette

[ha-Safran] publication opportunity: Children and Libraries

2022-10-29 Thread Emily Bergman via Hasafran
I am on the Editorial Advisory Board for *Children and Libraries
 *(*CAL)*, the
peer-reviewed journal of ALA's Association for Library Service to Children.
We're eager to make connections with librarians and library workers,
regardless of setting, who are interested in writing about children's
literature, children's programming, and related topics. Issues after a
1-year embargo are openly accessible
and you don't need to
be a member of ALSC to write for us. As you can see from our Author
Guidelines
,
CAL publishes scholarly research, best practices articles, and other types
of writing. So please keep *CAL *in mind if you'd like to share the news!
