Re: How Configure Guix to use Pipewire
A Pipewire service hasn't been added yet. I started working on one a while ago but haven't got around to finishing it. Pipewire is a user service, so if you disable pulseaudio and run Pipewire from a terminal you may be able to get it running manually. I'll have another go at making the Pipewire service soon. The last issue I ran into is that since Guix doesn't use systemd, there is no socket activation support that Pipewire can use, so I wasn't sure how to launch it.

Run $ sudo mkswap /dev/nvme0n1p4 and reboot, and it should work just fine. swapon(8) does a lot more than merely call swapon(2), including overwriting any SWSUSPEND signature[0]. Guix does not do this. It could, either at the expense of code manually kept in sync with util-linux, or by embedding a copy swapon(8) in the initrd, enlarging it. Re: Declare swap partition in config
For some reason, my guix system is not detecting my swap partition despite it being configured in my config. However, performing swapon directly does activity the partition. Is there an issue in my configuration? I am using the newer "swap-space" data structure for swap due to generating it from the installer a week ago. Here is my swap device name and uuid from blkid: /dev/nvme0n1p4: UUID="b7c057f7-c090-4a09-a94b-f92e66bdaebc" TYPE="swsuspend" PARTUUID="65db7a7a-62bf-42de-b1c4-094e9fac6090" Here is my swap-devices value for my config: (swap-devices (list (swap-space (target (uuid "b7c057f7-c090-4a09-a94b-f92e66bdaebc") Regards, Antwane
Re: Android Device Mounting Detection with GVFS Help
Jaft, Not quite equivalent to GVFS/udisks (for me that's a feature), but I'm very happy with jmtpfs. Kind regards, T G-R Sent from a Web browser. Excuse or enjoy my brevity.
Re: Android Device Mounting Detection with GVFS Help
Hmm; that's unfortunate. I can't say I've noticed any of the other behavior (thankfully?) but not recognizing my phone's definitely been an obvious one. Heh, I suppose it's all the more disappointing as I seem to've gotten close. Have you been using an alternative to GVFS (I know some people use udiskie, instead)? Or just tolerating the bugginess? GVFS in general seems extremely buggy, but especially on Guix. If you manage to figure this out I'd be very interested. Other fun GVFS related issues include: - sometimes mounts just plain don't show up (no /run/user/$UID/gvfs entry) - removable drives only show up once you've run fstab --list on them. they can be mounted with udiskctl, but they aren't visible in Nautilus. - incorrect handling of symlinks can lead to data loss, bug has been known for years and no workaround or fix exists.
Re: Emacs
